• All brands can learn from kids brands: Todays digitally dominated world makes the fight for brand survival ever harder and reaching today’s consumer means engaging an entertainment hungry, fickle, disloyal and media savvy audience. Brands find it increasingly difficult to cut through the clutter and make their brands stick. We discuss the principals of targeting children and what all brands can learn based on our “Think kid, Act Kid, Be Kid” programme, the world of “Fads, Crazes, Classics and Staples” and which type of BRATS your brand will become [BRATS = brand that sticks vs brand that stinks!].

• Getting into the mind of the child consumer: It is imperative to understand the child as a consumer and how they engage with and look at brands. Children do not see what we see and they can make huge leaps in lateral thinking. This is important when developing and communicating a kids brand. This talk highlights the problems faced by marketers and advertisers to children and discusses the ways brands have adapted in recent years to appeal to the “ethical mom” . We engage the audience with discussion on the problems faced by both the brand and the consumer.
